How to arrive

1. Driving from Madrid:
If you’re starting your journey in Madrid, Córdoba is accessible by car via the A-4 motorway. The drive takes approximately 4 hours, offering picturesque views of the Spanish countryside along the way.

2. Traveling from Seville:
For those arriving from Seville, hop onto the A-4 motorway, and you’ll reach Córdoba in about 1.5 to 2 hours. The straightforward route makes it a convenient option for road travelers.

3. Coming from Málaga:
From Málaga, take the A-45 motorway, and in approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, you’ll find yourself in the heart of Córdoba. Enjoy the scenic landscapes of Andalusia during your drive.

1. From Madrid:
You can easily reach Córdoba from Madrid by taking a comfortable coach ride. The journey typically takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic and the specific route taken. Several reputable bus companies operate daily services between these two cities, offering you flexibility in choosing the departure time that best suits your travel plans.

2. From Sevilla:
If you are already in Sevilla or arriving in this vibrant city first, traveling to Córdoba by coach is a fantastic option. The distance between Sevilla and Córdoba is relatively short, making it a quick and enjoyable trip. The bus ride usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, and there are frequent departures throughout the day. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the picturesque journey through the Andalusian countryside.

3. From Málaga:
For those arriving in Málaga and dreaming of exploring the wonders of Córdoba, a coach journey is an excellent choice. The distance between Málaga and Córdoba is slightly longer, but the ride offers you a chance to witness the stunning landscapes of Southern Spain. The journey typically takes around 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on the route and traffic conditions. Coaches run frequently during the day, making it convenient for you to plan your trip.

1. AVE High-Speed Trains: Spain’s AVE train network connects Córdoba to major cities like Madrid, Seville, and Barcelona. If you’re arriving from these cities, simply board the AVE train, and you’ll reach Córdoba in a matter of hours.

2. Regional Trains: Córdoba also enjoys excellent regional train connections with other cities and towns in Andalusia. While regional trains may take slightly longer, they offer a more economical travel option.

From Madrid: AVE high-speed train. Travel time: 1 hour 45 minutes.
From Seville: AVE or AVANT. Travel time: 45 minutes.
From Malaga: AVE or AVANT. Travel Time: 50 minutes.

As the main international gateway to Spain, Madrid Airport offers a multitude of flight options. After landing, you have two convenient choices to get to Córdoba:

  • By Train: Take the AVE high-speed train from Madrid’s Puerta de Atocha station to Córdoba, and you’ll arrive in just 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • By Car: Renting a car at the airport provides you with flexibility and the opportunity to explore the region. The drive from Madrid Airport to Córdoba takes around 4 hours via the A-4 motorway.

2. Seville-San Pablo Airport (SVQ):
Seville Airport serves as a regional hub with connections to various European cities. Upon arrival, here’s how you can reach Córdoba:

  • By Train: Board the AVE high-speed train from Seville’s Santa Justa station, and in about 1.5 to 2 hours, you’ll arrive at Córdoba.
  • By Bus: Direct buses run from Seville Airport to Córdoba, with a journey time of approximately 2 hours.

3. Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP):
Málaga Airport is another popular entry point for international travelers. To continue to Córdoba, consider the following options:

  • By Train: Take a train from Málaga’s Maria Zambrano station to Córdoba. The journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours on an AVE high-speed train.
  • By Car: Renting a car at the airport allows you to explore the Andalusian countryside at your own pace. The drive to Córdoba takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours via the A-45 motorway.

The Spain Visa is processed in your country of residence prior to your departure. Visa applications are currently subject to a greater degree of scrutiny than in the past. Many applicants may be required to appear in person for an interview as a part of the visa process. Conference participants are advised to apply for visa no later than 3 months prior to the conference.
